For a number of years now I have played a bit of poker for fun and have a posative ROI. This helps when I write articles for UK Poker Review. We have been doing it as a bit of a hobby, but we are currently looking at a re-design of the site. To help us, we thought we would pop along to the London Affiliate Conference to meet some of the affiliate managers from the different poker rooms and see what they can offer and see what seems to work for other sites. We spoke to a number of people and have some really exciting ideas for the new site once we manage to get the coding done and can put the new content on the site.
888 have rebranded their site which we really like the look of. With a simular logo but different colours for the poker, bingo and betting etc.
Saturday we stayed over in London at the Tower hotel. Was a nice hotel with nice views.
After booking in to the hotel we wandered over to Leicester Square for some dinner. After dinner we then went to meet the Everest Poker guys at their VIP party in the Ruby Room at Jewel. It was really nice to finally put a face to some of the names we have been in contact with and meet some of the team that work in different offices. You all rock and were a good laugh. The party was fab and we had a really good time. Hope to see you all again soon.
Before the night was over, we then headed over to another club for a quick dance and a few more drinks, before walking back to the hotel. Had a really fab weekend. Just a shame every weekend isn’t the same
I’d do it all again tomorrow if I could

Work Update
What a week. Work was a very busy week, but managed to get all done as planned. It was confirmed that the company I work for have been bought out by another company, but seems it will be a while before I know if the team I work in will be affected. It means that for now I am not buying anything unless it is something that I need to buy. Also feels like I can’t really plan a holiday for the summer. It’s so dam hard to find a job you enjoy these days and then be able to keep in the same job for long. I’m hoping that they will still need me, but time will tell.
Poker Site
After a busy week in work I was looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend, as over the next few weeks I have a few busy weekends coming up. Next weekend my brother is here and we are going to the London Affiliate Conference (LAC). Hoping for a few parties and a few drinks. Before then we are hoping to get the new poker site up and running. We have seen the PSD file mock up and is just being coded. Looks very different to the current site, but that is a good thing. We are going to use the old template for another site.
Apple Mac
I bought a MacBook pro last year and have been loving it, but have a few things that I still need to do on windows, so this afternoon I am going to try to install windows on my Mac. Urgh, just the thought of it makes me shudder. I’ve read that it should all be simple and can be removed if it goes too wrong.
Oh
Today I walked Bailey for a few hours and managed to pick up a really nice Travel Bug. Mission is to travel to Silverstone, so will have to travel a bit further in a few weeks to help on it’s way.
I’ve also been busy updating my blog with new follow and Social Networking intergration options.

Well that was a fail of a weekend.
Went to play poker on Saturday at Harlow race track. Really good venue, although a bit cold to start. Plenty of snacks and drinks on offer. All at a very reasonable price. It was also easy enough to get to, once we cleared the busy Saturday traffic.
My play was good. I hit some realy good hands and had a few fun hands. There were 96 runners and the action kicked off just after 2pm.
First few rounds I stayed about the same in chip stacks. Not really gaining or losing out. After the 3rd break though I was average in chips, but the blinds were sky high. There were only 14 people left and I won a couple of pots. However I was moved tables with 11 people left in. I looked down in an early position at KJs raised it to 3 times the blind (nearly all in) only to be reraised all in. With only 2.5 bb’s left behind I had to call. He turned over a6os, so I was on a 50/50. Flop came down and gave him a 6 and it held up. I was out of the game as your bubble boy. tyvm
I was going to go geocaching, but a mix up between mates resulted in a day at home doing not a lot and having pizza for dinner.
Oh I did have a go on the old wii and my fitness coach… that was hard work. But a really good work out. I will be doing more later in the week.
I also hope to head back to Harlow hounds before the end of the year to play in another game.
with regular games Friday and Saturday I am sure I will not be short on choices.
