New MacBook over windows 7 laptop

Well I’ve been thinking for a while on getting a new machine. But last week my gf’s 2year old (maybe 3 at a push) gave up. So I’m giving her my old one and looking for a new one myself.

I saw yet another offering coming out from Microsoft. This time no fancy name, just simply windows 7. Or do I change all together and finally take the plunge to getting a new apple mac.

It took me a few hours looking over the 2 main options, but I purly am fed up with windows based macines and the fact that they come with demo after demo of unwanted software that seem impossible to uninstall. For this reason an the fact that video editing on the mac looks so much fun. I decided that this time it will defo be a mac.

So now I have decided Apple Mac, I need to decide if I get laptop style or of I go back to desktop style. Now if the choice was all mine 99% of which it is. I would have gone down the new iMac route. They look fantastic and the new magic mouse if is a lovley bit of kit. However I have decided on the MacBook. The only reason for this is that I don’t have a desk and the gf was not wanting a desk in the living room. So for this reason only. I have decided on the MacBook.

With the MacBook, there is then the choice of pro or non pro. Both have the same processing speed, but after this weeks update the pro has a smaller hdd, but the pro does have: backlit keyboard, sd card slot, wifi. At the moment I’m thinking non pro is £100 less and that is money I can use else where and will also allow me to purchase cables to hook up to the tv in my mancave.

Today I will be coming home with something. If by lunch time the new MacBook is not in store then it will be the pro.
