Quit the Gym

I have decided this week that I am going to quit the Gym. I have not been for a few months now and as I have just bought a new house also, I have decided that I can spend my time working out in my house. The amount of times I have walked up and down ladders and also the stairs in the house to fetch things has is more of a workout that I would do down the Gym. I have decided also that I can spend the money each month on better things like TV and Poker, oh and maybe a bit on D.I.Y.

The gym progress is short lived I know, but hey, I don’t have to escape the out laws house and can now chill in my own place. That is when Carly isn’t getting me running up and down ladders and stairs…

Owned a House for a Week

Well a week ago today I picked up the Keys for our house.  I thought we would spend a few days sorting things out and getting moved in a little bit, but oh no, not Carly.  Carly has had us decorating every room in the house in the past week.  The kitchen, living room, Hall stairs and landing and now a bedroom is all done and decorated.  I am glad to come back to work for a rest.  We now only have 2 bedrooms to do and a bit of tinkering in the bathroom (replace fittings to the bath, sink and toilet), then our bedroom and the office (3rd bedroom/box room).

The week started off by realising that all the carpets stank of dog piss.  Upon pulling the carpet up, there were massive stains underneath.  We now have pulled up all the carpet in the living room, hall stairs and landing and the bedrooms.  Plenty of decorating done, which in the living room ended up with us hack sawing the radiator off.  We have a local plumber company coming out to fit it on Thursday, so we will then have hot water and should be able to move in to the property. The only thing left to do then will be to get the carpets down, sofas and dining table delivered.  I might actually then get down to sit and watch a bit of TV that I have recorded using my Virgin Media V+ box.

House Move or Not to move

Well this Tuesday we were supposed to be moving house, but no such luck.  It now looks like it will be another few weeks before we get to move.  The problem was the top of the chain; their solicitor is a pile of rubbish and has not even tried to push for the move this week.  Keeps not taking phone calls and also avoiding answering questions.  Just what you want when you’re making the largest purchase of your life.  Still off for a shower, then pick Carly up and go round to the house to see how everything works.  I don’t mind the delay too much as our sofa is still going to take a few weeks to come.  We ordered it from Homebase in the end.  DFS and SCS etc were all rip offs and the price of the sofa doubles by the time they tell you that “unless you take out the guard on the sofa then it is not guaranteed” and “you will have to take out the payment protection” fek off is what I say.   We got corner sofa, a 3 seat sofa and dining room table and chairs for less than a sofa in SCS.  Also Homebase are quicker at delivery than the main sofa stores.  We are now waiting for the move until we can decorate the place.  Can’t wait!!!!

Work is getting better

I am starting to get more involved in work now and really starting to enjoy it a lot more.  A few weeks ago I was thinking it was the worst mistake in my life, but now I am actually enjoying getting some of the work done. I think it was because it was all so new and different really to what I had done before.  It was like starting all over again.  Any how I have now been given my allocation of countries to look after and will be getting more involved over the next few weeks.

ZarToGUK wins at Poker on PKR

PKR have just done a massive upgrade to their software, with lots of new features. You can now buy lots of extra things using your PKR points, but my favourite is the fact that when you go all in, you can now stand up. Little things little minds I know, but I like it. I have enjoyed playing on PKR poker for a while now and it just gets better, it is more of a gaming experience with the game of poker.  I have won twice this morning and love it because you get an email with a fake paper headline.

Click the link FAKE HEADLINE (details don’t stay, but you get the idea)

Won 2 this morning and on a roll. Anyway a freeroll game is about to start, so I will be back later.

Weekend rant (West Ham Joy)

Well the weekend was a good weekend. I sat up playing Deal or No Deal until 3am… woo hoo how sad am I… (Don’t answer that). I was esp annoyed when I found out that the site www.jackpotjoy.com was a total con (in my opinion). They offer you a bonus about, which you then need to play a certain amount of bets before you can withdraw your money. Now I played my bets and still had £27 left, but when I tried to withdraw my money, they also wanted to take back the £20 sign up bonus they had given me. With their minimum withdrawal amount being £10, I was unable to take any money back out. I have done a full review on my review site www.review247.co.uk if anyone wants to read it. But I stick to my rule STAY AWAY FROM JACKPOTJOY.com

Saturday I went o the Gym for a massive 20 minuets, before Carly phones me to say she was finishing work early. So Went to pick her up and then went out for a meal with some friends of ours. Spent a good hour or so driving round South End, before we found somewhere to eat. I think it was called the “sand bar”. It was a very nice meal, but I felt totally under dressed for the place. It isn’t a cheap place, but at the same time it is less than you would pay in the middle of London. I had lamb and Carly had the duck. Both were very nice.

Sunday was the big day for West Ham fans. If they beat Man Utd, then they would get to stay up, but a draw or a loss could mean they go down.. I was feeling very ill, so stayed at home while everyone else in the village were either in the pub or gathered round a tv. Tevez saved the day (yet again); meaning West Ham stayed up. All 3 relegated teams have said they will take action against West Ham, who they feel should have had points deducted. Blah blah… they should go cry to their mummy instead, she might listen to them.

Poker win for me

I have some new tactics for my poker playing and they seem to be working. I have been playing a lot of cash tables recently. Just when I am doing well, I do something stupid and go all in and lose. This can be quite expensive and a lot more expensive than playing in a tournament.  So I am sticking to the 10% rule and not playing in a game where I put in more than 10% of my money. This gives me a chance to play 10 games before losing all my money. Which in theory (if I lose all my money) then I really should think more about how I am playing. The plan is to hopefully win 3 out of 10 games at least and build up a nice bankroll. Stage one of the new poker plan has just left me with my first win in a while; so I will be playing some more over the weekend and letting you know how I get on. (so many plans, so little time) ..

**Bit of an update on this
I have had a think about the 10% theory now and it is a bit wrong. It would be true if only 1st place was paid out. The fact that 2nd place is also paid out means that it doesn’t mean 1 in 10 wins. 1st place pays out $4.80 on a $1 game. So this means you have to win more than 1 in 5 games in order to be in profit. So make sure what the pay out amount is before…

Gym Day 1

Well this time last year I joined a gym. I was doing well for a few months and then (as most people do), I was going less and less; to the point where I didn’t go for about 2 months. I have recently started back again and intend to keep it up this time (honest). Here are my stats from when I joined last year:

Weight = 98kilos or over 15stone to us Brits
Flexibility = non-existent
Body Fat = 28% (Target is 15%)
Heart Rate = 186 BPM

So I am hoping to progress more and also put up my results each week so I can track how I am doing on an on-going basis.
