Social Media Sites

Just running  a bath and thought I’d write a quick blog.  I’ve now got a few of my personal social media sites linked together, but just need to figure out a few things to link in the YouTube Blog to my personal blog.  I was having a quick look in work today and it was asking for some key, but it wasn’t showing up.  I’m sure I will get it working before the end of the night and then that is another area liked.

I do tend to twitter more than I do anything else.  The main reason for this is the random people that I meet on twitter, most of which are a really nice bunch of people.  Like most sites though you do get the people that will try to join just for the sake of spamming people in to buying a product.  But they soon fade away and seem to bother you less and less.

I mainly use sites like facebook and twitter on a personal level at the moment for friends and family, but in the next few months I am re launching one of my poker sites and will be linking that in to all the social media sites like facebook, YouTube, Twitter etc., with some exciting features that we have not tried before.  We are just waiting for the programmer to code the main css for us and then we will be away and updating.

Linking social media sites together allows me to reach multiple people with a single update.  Whether it is a blog post or a quick twitter update or an article/opinion on a product or item.  I think the linking of social media sites is something that will be more popular this year.

With social media sites being more popular than ever I think that this is an important area.  The thing to remember though is that each of the sites plays a slightly different role.  So make the most of each site and include individual updates where it matters.
