It’s been 10 days and Bailey (my dog) has had his second set of jabs. This means he was able to come out walking with me. We didn’t go too far, but he was really good and met Ruby (Dan and Hazel’s dog)along with a number of other dogs as we were out walking. Really please with how he behaved on the lead.
Managed to grab a few geocaches too. There is a set of 4 caches in pages wood. They were a really nice set and good for both beginner and experienced geocachers. Dubzie86 had already grabbed these before, but wanted to come as there was a travel bug that he wanted to grab.
It was very damp under foot. So if you are going to do this set, make sure you have a good set of wellies.

So it’s been a few weeks since my last update to this might be a long one. A few main things going on at the moment: new puppy called bailey, geocaching and London Affiliate Conference.
The main thing at the moment is the new addition to the house. We have bought a puppy that is a cross Labrador and Malamute. I have attached a picture below. He was 8 weeks old when we picked him up and has been really good. He is loving the snow, but so far we have only been able to let him out the back. Next weekend though we are taking him out for his first ever walk in a country park. Still trying to teach him to fetch – He runs after the ball a bit, but doesn’t yet bring it back. I’m sure he will soon pick up the idea.
I have only been geocaching once so far. This is mainly because I’ve been full of a cold (which I can cope with), but it has also been snowing a lot. While I’m not too fussed by the snow, it is now turning to ice and don’t really want to drive in it of I don’t have too. It’s been enough fun walking to work. Only missed 1 hour of work because of the snow and that wasn’t really needed. So next weekend Saturday we are walking with Bailey (might grab a few caches) and then Sunday I’m out with Dubzie86 to finish off havering park.
The other thing I have coming up is the London affiliate conference. My brother is coming down to go and I’m tagging along. Plenty of freebys? Partys and a bit of netwoking. Should be a good few days. As we have been invited to the Everest Poker party on the Saturday evening.

Had to drop Carly off at work this morning, so I could have the car for the day.
Picked up Dubzie86 and set off for a day walking. Must have done a good few miles today. Even stopped off for a nice pint on the way. A broken series again though, due to muggle activity.

Today was my first day of geocaching. For anyone that doesn’t know what a geocache is then you should head on over to www.geocaching.com and check out full details, but basically it is a treasure hunting type event, where you tavel round the world hunting for a box called a cache. The Cache can be a small item or a lunch box size container that contains small items that you move from one box to another.
Today (as it was my first time), we decided to see what caches we could find local. So combats, boots and jacket on I was ready for a few hours wandering round the local fields.
We were using an app on the iPhone that allows you to find local caches and then navigate your way. The app is called geocaching and is the official app from the main site. It will cost you a couple of pound, but we think it is well worth it.
It was a successful day today. We found 5 in total and was a fun day out. The excitement of finding my first cache was just as exciting when I found the 5th one. We didn’t realise though that the ones that we were looking at were the series of 6, with a clue on each of the first 5 in order to find the 6th one.
In all the day was fun and we didn’t get too wet. My tip though is to make sure you take a drink with you and some food just in case. These were not too bad, as we were only local, but I think if we travel further afield we will need to be more prepared.
So a new hobby and this one is exercise and also get me outdoors.
